Hear me out here: I think tuna melts are the ultimate hangover cure. There’s something about a little bit of protein with crispy cheese and soft bread that just heals me. I know tuna has some haters but I think those haters just haven’t had the right tuna melt yet. This one is perfect IMO. The pickled jalapeno adds a bit of briney flavor that complements the tuna so well and the celery and onion add a delicious crunch. Canned tuna varies a lot in terms of dryness and texture so definitely adjust the recipe as needed if you’re not using Fishwife tuna. This recipe makes 3 tuna melts!
