Hello, my spooky sluts!! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays; none of the uncomfortable family dynamics of Thanksgiving or Easter, none of the gift weirdness or expectations of Christmas. No cooking, no cleaning, just good old-fashioned getting slutty with your best friends and eating/drinking spooky-themed treats. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, fills my cup like getting the ding of a Partiful for a Halloween party hit my inbox, precisely what is happening this Saturday.
I (like many) am super basic and really like the Nobu Lychee martini. It’s sweet and delicious, but one of my favorite parts is the chewy lychee. This drink is fun because it tastes like a lychee martini and an Aperol spritz had a baby, but it’s made spooky in a delicious way that doesn’t involve decor you can’t eat. It’s even better because we learned blueberries are a superfood in class today, so I included two of them to balance out the two shots of vodka. I have plans to drink several of these this weekend (I will be dressed as a sexy rat, and my fiance will be dressed as a sexy chef). I’ve attached a PDF download with some virgin adaption suggestions as well! Enjoy my loves!!
Spooky Lychee Eyeball Martinis
Spooky Lychee Eyeball Martinis
Ingredients for the eyeballs:
4 lychees (from a can, drain the juice for use inside the drink) 4 blueberries
1-2 teaspoons berry jam (anything red)
Ingredients for the drink:
2 shots (90ml) vodka
2 shots (90ml) sweet red vermouth
2 shots (90ml) Aperol
4 shots (180ml) lychee juice (from the can)
Directions:
To make your eyeballs, stuff blueberries in the middle of your lychees, then use toothpicks to secure two eyes per drink. Spoon tiny amounts of the jam into the crevices of the lychee, until it has a bit of a bloody look. Set aside.
Add the vodka, red vermouth, Aperol, and lychee juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Close the shaker and shake vigorously for 30 - 60 seconds, or until it feels frosty on the
outside.
Pour into a serving glass through a strainer to remove the pieces of ice. Garnish with a
pair of lychee eyeballs!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, and as always, thank you for subscribing!
